Cairo denies arresting Abu Nidal

An Egyptian security source denied reports broadcast by the German News Agency earlier in the day in that the Palestinian Sabri al-Banna, known as Abu Nidal, was arrested in Cairo.
The source added in a statement quoted by MENA that this news is null, void and groundless. Earlier reports said that Abu Nidal was seized under international arrest warrants when he arrived in Cairo with a forged Tunisian passport.
