Iraq urged Arab states to ignore sanctions, Kuwait successor warns of Iraq

Iraq has urged all neighboring countries, excluding Kuwait to ignore the embargo imposed on it and to resume full trade relations with it.
The Iraqi ambassador at the UN Nizar Hamdoun said in a press statement that it is time that companies interested in the future of business in Iraq to effectively interfere in order to lift sanctions on Iraq. Hamdoun added that the invitation is open to all companies even the Americans.
Meantime, the UN Security council on Monday night approved resumption of UN inspectors full activities in Iraq. In messages circulated to UNSCOM's chairman and the International Agency for Atomic Energy, the UN Security council asserted that Iraq is committed to provide necessary aids for inspection teams. The council's chairman Daneilo Turk, the representative of Slovenia, head of the inspection teams can decided when and where they carry out their inspection activities in Iraq
Meanwhile, Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Saad El-Abdallah al-Sabah warned his people of Iraq and the dangers approaching his country. In press statements yesterday, Sheikh Saad said the Iraqi government is still insisting on creating problems and crises, aimed at shaking stability in the region and continuing to cause anxiety. He called on Kuwaitis to confront this through national unity.
