Sanaa emphasizes importance of national conference for administrative reform
Yemen, Politics, 8/19/1998

Yemeni Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Mutahhar al-Saidi announced that the first national conference for the administrative reform will be held soon and it seeks to coordinate the administration as well as clear it from corruption.

He said in a press conference that the preparatory committee of the conference, formed sub-committees that resume their efforts to make the necessary arrangements for convening the conference and for providing the proper circumstances to succeed in embodying the instructions of the Yemeni president and prime minister.

Al-Saidi also said that convening this conference forms a positive sign for administrative reform by implementing what was included in the government's general program, and starting a series of studied steps for administrative reform in all sectors.

The conference will begin on August 25 and last for four days.
