Egyptian court considering plea presented by Islamic refugee in Britain

An Egyptian court specified the November 26 as the date it will consider a judicial plea presented by an Egyptian Islamic figure in Britain against an Egyptian newspaper, in which he accused the chief editor of the newspaper and one its editors of vilifying him.
The independent newspaper El-Midan published a report in its issue last Tuesday, in which it tackled the biography of Sheikh Mohammed Mokhter El-Mokeral, who runs the Islamic association for the workers in Kuran and Sonna in London.
El-Mokera was accused in the assassination the late Egyptian President Anwar El-Sadat, and was issued a seven-year prison sentence which he spent in Tora prison in Egypt. A few years after being released, he left Egypt for Britain, where the obtained the right of asylum.
