Jordanian official sources told ArabicNews.com today that the Iranian Foreign Ministry called on Jordan to close the bureau of the Iranian opposition Mojahidin Khalq movement in Amman, to help develop the relations between the two countries.
The sources said that Jordanian Foreign Minister Jawad al-Anani received the request during his visit to Iran last week, and his talks focused on the matter of closing the Mojahidin Khalq bureau.
The sources added that during his visit al-Anani delivered a communique to Iranian President Mohammed Khatami, tackling methods of enhancing cooperation and relations between the two countries.
