Egyptian Consultation Council calls for conference on terrorism
Egypt, Politics, 8/14/1998
The Arab Affairs Committee in the Egyptian Consultation Council under the leadership of Said El-Dakad called yesterday for the convening of an international conference on terrorism in order to discuss how to treat this problem and the relationship between terrorism and organized crime, as well as to convince countries sheltering terrorists to reexamine their policies.
The committee stated that the explosions targeting the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania indicate that terrorism forms a danger all over the world, and that countries worldwide bear responsibility for combating terrorism.
