Ethiopia denies reports that Egypt sends military aid to Eritrea

In press statements, Ethiopian spokeswoman Salomi Tadiss described Egyptian - Ethiopian relations as very good, referring to the effective and positive role of Egypt in efforts to solve the Eritrean - Ethiopian dispute peacefully.
Moreover, Tadiss strongly denied Ethiopian news reports that Cairo is lending military support to Eritrea in its dispute with Ethiopia. She added that these reports have nothing to do with truth, written by private newspapers that have no regard for truth.
Tadiss' statements came as an attempt to contain tense relations between Addis Ababa and Cairo which were reflected in lasting strong attacks by the Ethiopian media against Egypt.
