Arab states to unify civil aviation regulations
Regional, Economics, 8/14/1998
The committee in charge of ensuring safety of Arab civil aviation on Thursday concluded its meetings. It called for laying the groundwork for unifying civil aviation regulations in the Arab states.
The committee also recommended setting up a group of Arab experts in civil aviation to orient the implementation of the adopted regulations. It also called for coordinating Arab positions with African and Latin American blocs on environmental related issues.
Director of air safety at the Arab Commission for Civil Aviation Abdul Latif Jabbour said in a statement to SANA in Rabat that the committee called for lifting the restrictions imposed on certain Arab states against acquiring modern spare parts needed for their aircrafts.
