Israel escalates aggression against south Lebanon

Lebanese security sources said Israeli artillery positioned in Tallet Muhibib bombarded the outskirts of al-Jimijmeh, al-Sawanneh, Majdal Suloum and Lhurbat Suloum towns.

The Israeli occupation forces bombardment covered al-Tuffah hills and heights. The bombardment coincided with mopping-up operations that covered the surroundings of the occupation positions in Sujoud and Tallat al-Sweida.

In the morning the Israeli heavy artillery targeted al-Qesieh valley in the area adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon. Israeli jets violated Lebanese airspace, breaking the sound barrier over Beirut. Lebanese security sources said that Israeli warplanes carried out mock provocative raids over the villages of al-Nabatieh, and al-Tuffah district in a reconnaissance sorties in the airspace of south Lebanon.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese resistance on Wednesday night attacked Israeli armored vehicles in the surroundings of Israel's Sujoud site. In a statement released on Thursday the resistance said it was able to score direct hits.
