Arab agricultural development conference in Libya

Works of the scientific conference on agricultural development and agriculture's role in boosting the industrial sector in the Arab states started in Benghazi, Libya on Tuesday.

The conference was organized jointly by the economic research center of the national commission for scientific research in Libya in cooperation with the federation of Arab scientific research councils.

Arab experts and researchers from Syria, Iraq, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco and Libya are taking part in the deliberations of the conference. In its two-day meetings the conferees will discuss the role of the agricultural sector in providing the raw materials needed for local industries.

They will also discuss issues pertaining to agricultural development and integrated food security between the sectors of industry and agriculture in the Arab states as well as several issues relating to agricultural and industrial development.
