Tourists coming back to a favorite place, bringing 10 billion pounds

It is expected that the number of Arab and foreign tourists visiting Egypt this year will increase to reach 3.25 million, up 8.3% over last year.
This was stated in a report received recently by the Egyptian People's Assembly form the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism. The report said that the number of tourist nights will reach 21.1 million, an increase of 8.2% over last year.
The report pointed out that the expected tourist income will reach 10.3 billion Egyptian pounds, an increase of 800 million pounds over last year.
Also, the International Tourism Organization stated yesterday in a report that Egypt plays an import role in tourism development for the Middle East region and that tourism development in Egypt forms 19% of the increase achieved by the region, and 76% of the increase in income derived from tourism.
Meanwhile, some 20,000 British tourists arrived in the last few days in the Red Sea area.
