Khartoum and Addis Ababa agree on return of Sudanese refugees
Sudan-Ethiopia, Politics, 8/12/1998

Informed Sudanese sources said that a high-level Sudanese official succeeded in reaching an agreement with the Ethiopian authorities for the return of Sudanese refugees living in Ethiopia.

The Sudanese sources said that Addis Ababa agreed on a Sudanese delegation's visit to Ethiopia to discuss the matter, and that the governmental delegation that visited Addis Ababa last week succeeded in breaking the deadlock in relations between the two African countries.

The sources expected development in bilateral relations between Ethiopia and Sudan, adding that deputy secretary general of the national conference for the Sudanese ruling party remained in Addis Ababa after finishing a round of negotiations last week with the Sudanese People's Liberation Army to hold talks with the Ethiopian government concerning many issues.
