Egypt denies presenting initiative to solve Eritrean - Ethiopian dispute

Egypt denied recent reports published by independent Ethiopian newspapers that Egypt is seeking to present an independent initiative outside the Organization of African Unity concerning the Eritrean - Ethiopian crisis.
Egyptian diplomatic sources confirmed that Egypt supports the OAU's initiative concerning this matter and does not intend to offer an independent initiative.
