Morocco will not be affected by El Nino
Morocco, Environment, 8/11/1998

The head of the Moroccan meteorology department, Ezzedine Diouri, said Morocco will not be affected by the El Nino phenomenon. "Morocco is fortunately located outside the influence area of El Nino," the official told Moroccan television channel "2M."

He added that after the extension to Europe of the Acores anticyclone, Morocco is currently affected by a Saharan low pressure which entails a humid and temperate weather on the coasts, with temperatures ranging between 32 degrees Celsius in coastal cities and 40 to 44 degrees Celsius in internal cities.
