Jeddah harbor receiving giant container ship

Starting next Wednesday, Jeddah harbor will be receiving the ship Reaina Medisk which is considered among the biggest ships in the world for transporting containers with a capacity of 6,000 containers.
The harbor received during the Gulf wat military ships of different sizes, the most prominent of which was the US aircraft carrier John F. Kennedy.
Jeddah harbor used to receive petroleum ships of varying sizes in addition to cargo ships.
An officials source in the harbor said that deepening the south station for containers, made receiving these kind of ships possible.
