Italian - Tunisian high joint committee meets

Tunisian Minister for Foreign Affairs Said Bin Mustafa left for Rome on Wednesday, in an official visit lasting for two days, in which he will with his Italian counterpart Lamberto Dini, head the meeting of the third session of the Italian - Tunisian high joint committee.

The session will discuss the enhancement of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in economic fields and the possibility of increasing Italian investments in Tunisia in addition to other topics such as the issue of immigration, Euro-Mediterranean cooperation and the role of Italy and Tunisia in enhancing this cooperation.

Italy comes in the first position among foreign countries for total volume of investment in Tunisia, while it comes in third after France and Germany in the number of job opportunities provided by its investments.
