Kuwait allows residence for Iraqi husbands of Kuwaiti women

Kuwaiti sources said Kuwait will allow Iraqi people who are relatives of Kuwaitis and those whose files are clear with security fronts in Kuwait to enter Kuwait and reside there.

Sources in the Kuwaiti Interior Ministry said on Tuesday that Iraqis who were born in Kuwait, have foreign family inside Kuwait, have a clean security record or were working in Kuwait before the Iraqi occupation without any problems, will be allowed by the Kuwaiti authorities to enter Kuwait and receive visa for residence.

The sources added that this step applies to the Iraqi husbands of some Kuwaiti women who were working in Kuwait and obliged to leave due to the Iraqi invasion, after which circumstances prevented them from return to Kuwait.
