Morocco temporarily bans shellfish sales
Morocco, Economics, 8/6/1998
The Moroccan fishing department decided on Wednesday to ban catches and marketing of shellfish brought from the southern Atlantic coast stretching from Agadir to Sidi Ifni.
The department said an analysis of the region's water and shellfish showed that the shells contain a toxin level higher than the authorized international norms.
