Syrian - Kuwaiti information talks in Damascus

Syrian Prime Minister Mahmoud al-Zou'bi on Tuesday discussed with Kuwaiti Information Minister Yussef Sumait currently visiting Syria the information cooperation existing between them.
Earlier in the day a round of talks was held at the Syrian TV and radio station headquarters between the two information ministers. The Syrian minister noted the importance of cooperation and coordination between them in the field of the media.
He noted the need to highlight the positive aspects of inter-Arab relations to create the proper atmosphere for Arab solidarity and to mobilize Arab potentials in defense of Arab efforts to overcome standing challenges.
For his part, the Kuwaiti minister indicated "the importance of benefiting from the advanced Syrian media experience." The two sides reviewed prospects of joint cooperation between the two countries news agencies and space channels. They also reviewed means of exchanging information and coordinating stances in Arab unions and organizations, foremost being the Arab Journalists Union, the Federation of the Arab news Agency, the Arab radio federation. They also reviewed the exchange of visits and expertise to deepen cooperation and revive agreements for the interests of the two countries.
