King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia was admitted to a Riyadh hospital on Sunday for medical tests. Saudi Press Agency said that "the Custodian of the two holy mosques, King Fahd arrived in al-Riyadh on Sunday from Jeddah to carry out medical tests at the King Faisal specialized hospital." The Saudi king was admitted for the second time in six months. Go

Foreign Minister Amr Moussa asserted that Egypt will not discuss with anyone Egyptian Scud missiles so long as other regional countries have longer range missiles, and nuclear equiped missiles that are being ignored. Moussa called for a nuclear free zone in the region. Go

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh denied that his country supported Iraq during the Gulf War in 1990. The Yemeni president stated that Yemen condemned the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and said that the deterioration in Yemen's relations with the U.S. came when Yemen refused to support a $25 million to aid war efforts against Iraq citing desire to find a peaceful solution to the problem.
