King Hussein to return to Jordan within two weeks.
Jordan, Politics, 8/3/1998

Jordanian sources expected that King Hussein will return to Jordan within two weeks after he has received the second part of his chemotherapy treatment at the US Mayo Clinic for his lymphoma.

The sources also denied that King Hussein is obliged to be away from the kingdom for six months, pointing out that King Hussein can receive the chemotherapy in Jordan in the later stages with the aid of a medical team that will come from the Mayo Clinic.

The sources added that King Hussein will be subjected to the second session of the chemical treatment for four days beginning at the end of the coming week before his return to Jordan.

He is returning in order to fulfill some urgent work, and implement ideas that relate to the procedures of governmental modification (as he called it), with the ending of the exceptional session the Jordan council of deputies.
