Tunisia protests to Italy due to illegal immigration claims

The Tunisian Foreign Ministry summoned the Italian ambassador to Tunisia, to protest against accusations by Rome that it is not fulfilling its role in halting illegal immigration.
Italian Foreign Minister Lamberto Dini stated Wednesday that Tunisia has abandoned its role of responsibility for illegal immigration.
One day after the deaths of five Tunisians in a fire that took place on board a ship, on which the Tunisians were traveling illegally in the Italian harbor of Genoa. Tunisia demanded that the Italian authorities investigate the circumstances concerning the deaths of these five Tunisians.
The number of illegal immigrants to Italy who were caught in July reached 3,000, most of them from north Africa. The Italian Foreign Minister had just conclude a trip to Morocco where an agreement was signed to deal with Moroccans residing illegaly in Italy.
Meanwhile, Spanish non-governmental association "SOS Racisme" warned Spanish authorities against the upsurge of racist acts targeting Moroccan nationals living near Madrid where there have been complaints of discrimination against night clubs baring entrance to Moroccans.
