Egypt - Germany trade is 706 billion Deutchmarks

Peter Dingens, Germany's ambassador in Cairo, praised yesterday Germany's close relations with Egypt in varying fields, adding that his country is the second-largest commercial partner for Egypt after the U.S.
He added that the volume of commercial exchange between the two countries reaches 706 billion Deutchmarks in addition to 105 billion marks that comes to Egypt within Egyptian - European cooperation.
Ambassador Dingens spoke of active cooperation between the two countries to solve the problem of 4,500 Egyptian citizens residing illegally in Germany.
