Tunisian workers abroad transfer $5 billion

The Tunisian Central Bank estimated that Tunisian workers abroad have transfered nearly $5 billion during the last ten years. In recent statistics the volume of transfers last year were estimated at $760 million.
7% of Tunisians live abroad, and the western European countries attract 75% of expatriate Tunisian workers, among whom are 75% in France. Their transfers contribute to limiting the shortage of the Tunisian balance of payments.
