Morocco and Niger sign cooperation protocol in water resource management

Morocco and Niger concluded on Tuesday in Rabat a cooperation protocol in matters of water resource management.
Under the accord, experts from the Moroccan Ministry of Equipment will participate in studies concerning projects related to the management of surface, underground and rain water in Niger.
The accord also provides for cooperation in matters of staff training and exchange of experience in addition to the participation of Moroccan experts in the construction of a dam in Niger.
The protocol was initialed by Moroccan Minister of Equipment Bouamour Taghouane, and Niger's Minister of Hydraulics and Environment Harona Niandou, who is currently on a visit to Morocco.
