Turkey-Israel, Military, 7/28/1998
The Turkish daily Milliet said on Monday that Israel and Turkey are currently studying a project to produce jointly intermediate-range missiles. This comes within the military cooperation agreement between the two sides, the paper added.
Israeli radio quoted the paper as saying that the Turkish deputy chief of staff, Gen. Chafiq Blair, currently visiting Israel, is holding talks with the special advisor of the Israeli defense minister David Evry in this respect. The paper added that the two sides will develop 150 km range missiles during contacts recently made between Israeli and Turkish military officials.
