Journalists' union meetings start tomorrow

The meeting of the general trusteeship of the Journalists' Union will start on Tuesday in Alexandria and last for three days.

The union's assistant secretary general, Hatem Zakeria, said that the trusteeship's agenda will include a number of important issues, at the top which comes the retreat of peace process on the Syrian/Lebanon and Palestinian tracks, the persecuting of the Palestinian people, press freedoms within the Arab states, and and the current political developments on the international and Arab levels.

Zakeria also said that the trusteeship will discuss reforming the liberties' committee, and setting up a new plan for its activities during the coming period.

It will also discuss the report of the general budget for the union and the resolutions of the permanent bureau in its last session held in Damascus during June.
