Sudan's FM in Damascus carrying a message to al-Assad from al-Bashir

Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Othman Ismael arrived on Friday in Damascus carrying a message to President Hafez al-Assad from his "brother Omar al-Bashir."
"Thanks to the two directives of al-Assad and al-Bashir relations between Syria and Sudan are booming," he said. "We aspire during this visit to put the agreements signed between the two countries into actual realization so as to serve the interests of our two countries and to our Arab nation."
The Sudanese minister elaborated that his visit came at al-Sharaa's invitation. It aims at discussing bilateral relations and issues of bilateral interest regionally and internationally."
He added that he will also discuss with Syrian officials the current conditions prevailing in the Middle East peace process and Israel's intransigence which has voided the peace process. He underlined the importance of discussing these issues with Syria.
