Syrian armed forces carry out tactical project

At the directives of President Hafez al-Assad Syrian troops on Wednesday carried out a tactical project in an environment that closely simulated real battle conditions, attended by the Army's chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Ali Aslan; the deputy chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Abdul Rahman Sayyad; and high-ranking army officials.
Various land and air weapon types were used and army units took part in the exercises assigned with high efficiency assigned tasks.
