Morocco attracts increasing numbers of French tourists, French daily says
Morocco, Business, 7/24/1998

Morocco, which is literally being invaded this summer by tourists, is becoming increasingly attractive for French tourists who were 590,000 to visit the kingdom in 1997, reported this Friday French daily "Le Parisien" in a special "Summer survey" on the most-preferred bounds of French tourists.

For tourism professionals the Moroccan destination, among the seven countries most demanded in the Mediterranean basin, has been for the past decade "a sure value" and has witnessed during the past two years an impressive boom, attracting an increasing number of French tourists, the daily said.

The paper said that the Moroccan product meets the requirements of the French tourists who mostly prefer family holidays formula in addition to other assets such as proximity, good prices and exoticism.
