Top Egyptian movie awards in the coming October

The fourth national festival for Egyptian cinema is to start on October 13 and last for one week. The prizes given out at this festival are equivalent to those of the US "Oscar," the French "Cezar," or the British "BAFTA."
The governmental cultural development fund presents financial prizes valued at 307,000 pounds to producers to support the Egyptian cinema industry, in addition to golden prizes in different categories.
This session will be headed by Ali Abu Shadi, the head of censorship on the technical classifications.
It is expected that 17 films will participate in the festival, including the Egyptian film "The Destiny," directed by Egyptian director Yousef Shaheen who is nominated for the most prizes in the festival.
