Moroccan premier launches construction on section of Mediterranean bypass

Moroccan Prime Minister Abderrahmane Youssoufi launched Wednesday the construction of a 30 km-long section of the Mediterranean bypass that will link Tangiers and Saidia (northeastern Morocco).
The Tangiers-Ksar Essghir section to be completed in 18 months will cost around $10.15 million (97.5 million DH). The Mediterranean bypass project, costing $315.6 million, comprises the construction of a new 254 km-long road and the rehabilitation of a 301 km-long road.
