Egyptian security forces arrest Islamist member

The Security forces in El-Minya governorate in Upper Egypt arrested one member of the Islamic Group. Security sources said that police arrested Mohammed Abdul Hamid who was in hiding near El-Gamalia village in Abu Karkas city.
The detainee will be subjected to an investigation to learn how much he contributed to the violence witnessed by the area during recent months.
Meanwhile, the police officers' disciplinary council decided to postpone judgment in the case of four officers accused of negligence in last year's Luxor incident until August 23. The decision came after the council's approval at a session yesterday in the police academy headquarters, to a motion presented by the defense to grant the suspects a chance to present explanatory notes.
