Offers presented by four foreign companies to manage Egyptian customs

Mohieddin El-Gharib, the Egyptian minister of finance, announced before the assembly of the investors for 10th of Ramadan City that the Cabinet will receive offers presented by four foreign companies from the private sector to manage Egyptian customs within the coming 10 day so one of these companies or more than one can be chosen to perform this task.
El-Gharib confirmed that contracting with foreign companies to manage Egyptian customs will not affect national sovereignty in any way, but it aims at increasing the quality of customs administration and facilitating the flow of exports and imports, which will lead to an increase in customs revenues.
The Egyptian minister said that the companies that presented offers enjoy international experience in customs management, adding that the contract will result in putting accurate prices and descriptions on imported goods overcoming false billing and customs evasion.
