Tunisian president takes measures to end unemployment in Tunisia

In concluding the "National Symposium of Employment" in Tunis, Tunisian President Zien El-Abadin Bin Ali confirmed the importance of putting an end to the unemployment problem in Tunisia and opening new opportunities for the new generations.

Bin Ali said that the consecutive reforms for national economy are aimed at improving the state's standard of living and decreasing unemployment as well as the graduates.

The Tunisian president confirmed that the current plan aims at achieving a growth rate of not less than 6% annually to create 320,000 new job opportunities. He stated that towards this end, the Tunisian Bank for Solidarity was established in order to increase the number of the small and medium sized corporations.

Bin Ali said that the mechanisms of the "national fund" were reviewed, to raise the value of investments this fund from one to three million Tunisian dinars.
