Boy shot by Israeli troops is still in hospital
Palestine-Israel, Local, 7/15/1998
Tareq Sadek Qawasme, an eight-year-old boy from Hebron who was shot in the leg by Israeli troops a few days ago, is still hospitalized in Hebron and doctors said it would take him at least two more weeks until he could be discharged.
Israeli soldiers opened fire at a group of Palestinians in the heart of Hebron, just on the so-called green line that separates the Jewish settler enclave in the heart of the city from the surrounding areas that are controlled by the Palestinian government. Eyewitnesses said Tareq sustained a direct shot in the leg and was rushed to hospital. Doctors said his right leg was broken.
