Israeli heavy artillery intensively pounded on Tuesday the area of al-Tasse spring flow and the outskirts of Lweizeh, Jarjou' and Mleita towns in al-Tuffah district in the occupied part of south Lebanon. News from south Lebanon reported that more than 30 artillery shells were fired against the targeted areas.
Early Tuesday, Lebanese resistance forces monitored the movements of Israeli armored vehicles in Sujoud. A resistance group attacked the position. In a statement, the resistance said it scored direct hits on the enemy positions.
Meanwhile, Lebanese security sources said the occupation artillery positions in al-Zaffata and al-Rayhan intensively shelled the surroundings of al-Nabatieh and al-Tuffah district heights. The bombardment reached Lweizeh - Jarjou' road, Lweizeh and Maleila outskirts, al-Tasse spring, and al-Rafai mountain.
The Israeli bombardment targeted al-Zahrani river and the woods of Habboush town. From its position in al-Debshe the Israeli artillery pounded areas of al-Nabatieh al-Fawka town and its suburbs. A shell fell near the house of Lebanese citizen Fahd Mugarbel. The bomb damaged Mugarbel's house.
The Israeli attacks resulted in breaking electricity lines and damaging neighboring tobacco fields. The bombardment was accompanied by sorties by Israeli warplanes in al-Nabatieh and al-Tuffah district airspace. It also coincided with flights by Israeli MK surveillance plane in south Lebanon airspace.
