Sudanese President promises to defeat rebels

Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir stated that his army will liberate the country from the rebel movement that controls vast areas from the southern and eastern parts of the country.
During his sudden visit on Sunday to one of southern Sudan's biggest cities, "Juba," President Bashir said: "We have decided to clean this year all areas from the rebels and to liberate every inch of the national soil from occupation and not to let a even one rebel inside our borders."
The Sudanese President was quoted by Sudanese dailies on Monday as saying that the Sudanese army "has proceeded in the Eastern part of the country and liberated most of the territories, inflicting heavy casualties and defeat on its foes."
