Jordanian parliamentarian says peace must be made on all tracks
Jordan-Regional, Politics, 7/13/1998

Member of the Jordanian Parliament and chairman of the Parliament's foreign relations committee Zoukan al-Hindi said that just and comprehensive peace is not attainable without Israel's withdrawal from the occupied Golan Heights, the Palestinian territories and south Lebanon.

Al-Hindi said, "Under Netanyahu's continued rejection of resuming negotiations on the Syrian and Lebanese tracks from the point at which they broke off and unless Israel commits itself to such a withdrawal, peace will not be achieved in the region.

He stressed that the just-ended Arab - European parliamentary dialogue in which he took part, is a chance for the two sides to evaluate joint cooperation relations between the two countries during past years and to adopt a new mechanism serving Arab issues. He referred to the conference's concentration on main political issues of concern to the Arab nation in her struggle with Israel.
