Sudan-Bahrain, Politics, 7/13/1998

A Sudanese official said in Manama on Sunday that the Sudanese airlines will very soon open air flights between Manama and Khartoum. AFP quoted Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Othman Ismael as saying during a press conference that Sudan Air will soon open a flight between the two cities.

Othman called upon Bahraini businessmen to invest in Sudan, which offers several investment opportunities in various areas. The Sudanese minister added that for the first time the two countries have decided to open embassies in the two countries's capitals.

Today, the ruler of Bahrain, Sheikh Issa Bin Salman al-Khaleifa, received a message from Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir pertaining to means of boosting bilateral relations as well as issues of mutual concern.
