Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement calls for military action against Israel
Palestine, Politics, 7/13/1998

The Islamic Jihad movement in Gaza urged the launching of attacks against Israel to force it to withdraw from the Palestinian territories.

The movement asked the Palestinian government to halt negotiations with Israel, which it said have become a waste of time and dignity.

Sheikh Abdullah Shami asked one of the superior leaders of the Islamic Jihad movement during the movement's meeting in El-Shate to campaign for the Palestinian refugees and renewing the military work against Israel, confirming that Netanyahu's government does not understand anything but this language.

Sheikh Nafez Azzam, a spokesman in the Islamic Jihad movement, asked the Palestinian government to reject the US suggestions of resuming face-to-face peace negotiations, which he said would cause disaster for the Palestinian people.
