Jordan's foreign debts doubled
Jordan, Politics, 7/13/1998
The London-based Al-Sharq Al-Awsat daily quoted official Jordanian sources as saying that Jordanian Prime Minister Abdul Salam al-Majali has been on a long vacation outside the country. The sources added that al-Majali's absence of may justify rumors of a forthcoming ministerial and leadership reshuffle in Jordan.
The report added that such changes have not been subject of a decision by higher officials in the country, especially from the Jordanian king. Jordanian political circles said that the official Jordanian sides did not say more on that, but they expect the "higher officials" not to be content while al-Majali is leaving the country in such a critical stage.
