Pakistani minister of the interior winds up successful visit to Damascus

Pakistani Minister of the Interior Chaudhary Shujat Hussain and members of his accompanying delegation left Damascus on Thursday following an official visit which lasted for several days.
In a pre-departure statement to reporters at Damascus airport, the Pakistani president praised the results of his visit to Damascus. He described his meeting with Syrian President Hafez al-Assad as good and friendly.
The visiting minister stressed that his talks with his Syrian counterpart, Muhammad Harba, and other Syrian Cabinet ministers were successful and fruitful. He added that his visit to Syria would positively contribute to "strengthening and boosting multi-faceted relations between Syria and Pakistan."
