Outgoing Iraqi Arab League deputy returns to Baghdad for new duties
Iraq-Egypt, Politics, 7/10/1998

Nabil Negm, the outgoing Iraqi permanent deputy to the Arab league will return to Baghdad some days after assuming the tasks of his new job as the undersecretary of his country's Foreign Ministry.

Arab League sources said they believe this post reflects Baghdad's new direction, saying that this period will view an Iraqi initiative toward the Arab states as expected, as Negm is associated with Arab officials by the close and respectful relations he established during his time in Cairo.

Meanwhile, Egyptian Minister of Health Ismail Salaam headed yesterday to Baghdad in the second visit of an Egyptian minister to Baghdad in the past month after the visit of Egyptian Minister of Supply & Trade Ahmed El-Goweili.

Sallam is leading a medical delegation consisting of heads of medical companies to discuss the fulfillment of Iraqi requirements of medicine and to perofm a number of surgical operations.
