Kuwait denies existence of disputes among Damascus Declaration countries
Regional, Politics, 7/10/1998
Kuwait denied yesterday the existence of disputes among the countries of Damascus Declaration, which includes the six Gulf Cooperation Council states, as well as Egypt and Syria.
Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh al-Ahmed al-Sabah stated that the meetings of the Damascus Declaration countries were not postponed due to the disputes. The meeting has been delayed until October. He said that the delay is due to the inadequacy of the specified date (July 15) with the circumstances of the Gulf countries.
