Jordanian FM heads for the US

Jordanian Foreign Minister Jawad al-Anani left Amman yesterday for Washington in a visit to the US. He will discuss with officials at the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund Jordanian economic reform programs.
Accompanied by Planning Minister Rima Khalaf, al-Anani will attend the meetings of the Jordanian-US joint committee. The committee will discuss bilateral relations, and US aid to Jordan which amounts to US $ 225 million in 1998. Some US $75 million are military aid.
