Reception in Damascus marks US Independence Day

The US ambassador in Damascus, Ryan Crocker, on Thursday held a reception marking the 222nd anniversary of US independence.
It was attended by the Syrian ministers of economy and foreign trade, state for foreign affairs, the secretary general of the Syrian-Lebanese higher council, several People's Assembly members, the heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions in Damascus and social, economic, and religious activists.
