Syria's help to Iraqi people underlined

During his meeting with Iraqi Minister of Trade Muhammad Mahdi Saleh and members of the accompanying delegation, Syrian Health Minister Eyad al-Shatti stressed Syria's commitment to providing the necessary aid and support to the people of Iraq, especially in rendering them services and medical care.
Al-Shatti spoke of the importance of the pharmaceutical industry in Syria.
The Iraqi minister expressed thanks for Syria's humanitarian position in support of the Iraqi people during their ordeal.
Meanwhile, Syrian Deputy Premier for Economic Affairs Salim Yassin discussed with the Iraqi minister commercial relations between the two countries within the context of the oil-for-food agreement.
