Egyptian tourism minister: 100 billion pounds is tourist investment target through 2017

Mamdouh El-Beltagi, the Egyptian minister of tourism, confirmed at the board of directors' meeting for the general organization for tourist development that the targeted investments for developing the tourism sector in Egypt over the next 20 years are estimated at nearly 100 billion Egyptian pounds, including 80 billion pounds for providing new rooming capacity that would reach 315,000 rooms, with 20 billion Egyptian pounds going to developing tourist services.
