UN Sanctions Committee agrees upon Jordanian export contracts

Jordan's Minister of Industry and Trade Hani Mulki confirmed that the UN Sanctions Committee agreed upon 34 new contracts for Jordanian companies in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between the UN and Iraq known as the oil-for-food agreement. "The total sum of the contracts is $28.61 million," he said.
In a statement issued yesterday, Mulki said that the total agreements for Jordanian companies in the third phase reached $80.04 million for 74 contracts, "The total sum for Jordanian contracts as per the Memorandum of Understanding for the three phases reached $289 million."
